Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Program Director for Power Delivery Solutions in the Washington DC metro area (or nearby regions). The role oversees delivery of engineering and professional services for Substation P&C, physical, civil and structural scopes for utility clients, spanning 4kV to 765kV.

The PD collaborates with engineering leads, PMO, and BD/AM on program performance, cost controls and value delivery, while guiding training and skill development within the Leidos team.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with ten or more years of experience in electric utility engineering.
• Functional understanding of electrical, civil, structural and mechanical engineering as applied to power delivery.
• Advanced understanding of the electric power utility industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent team-building and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• The Program Director will manage the delivery of engineering and professional services for Substation P&C, Physical, Civil and Structural Scopes for Utility Clients for 4kV-765kV.
• PD will engage technical teams, review progress, evaluate effectiveness and work with engineering managers to maximize program outcomes.
• Collaborate with Section Managers on delivery of engineering activities and resource management.
• Partner with PMO to optimize program management and provide issue management and deep dive investigations.
• Develop financial forecasts of revenue and operating income on the program and work with BD/AM on client initiatives.
• Support VP-T&S on special projects as assigned.
