Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Program Director for Power Delivery Solutions in the Washington, DC area. You will manage the delivery of engineering and professional services across Substation P&C, Physical, Civil and Structural scopes for utility clients on 4kV-765kV projects.

You will coordinate technical teams, review progress, drive schedule and cost performance, and partner with PMO/BD to forecast revenue and deliver value.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 10+ years of experience in electric utility engineering
• Functional understanding of electrical, civil, structural and mechanical engineering as applied to power delivery
• Advanced understanding of electric power utility industry
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Excellent team building and coloration skills

Responsibilities

• The Program Director will manage the delivery of engineering and professional services for Substation P&C, Physical, Civil and Structural Scopes for Utility Clients for 4kV-765kV
• PD will engage technical teams providing services, review team progress, evaluate team effectiveness and work through the responsible engineering managers and section managers to maximize the outcomes on the program. Focus areas include: Review the scope of the program to ensure it meets contract and technical requirements. Identify ways to deliver additional value to the client and advance the Leidos services.
• Collaborate with Section Managers on the delivery of engineering activities. Support the SMs with resource management and assessment.
• Partner with the Project Management Organization (PMO) to optimize the management of the program.
• Develop financial forecasts of the revenue and operating income on the program. Work with the Business Development (BD) manager/Account Manager (AM) on larger client management initiatives.
• Support the Vice President of Transmission and Substation on special projects as assigned.
