Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Program Director for Power Delivery Solutions to lead engineering and professional services on assigned programs in the DC/MD/VA region. The role requires coordinating technical teams, reviewing progress, and ensuring contract and technical requirements are met.

You will collaborate with Section Managers, PMO, and BD/AM teams to optimize schedules, costs, and quality, while guiding training and skill development across Leidos teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 10+ years in electric utility engineering.
• Functional understanding of electrical, civil, structural and mechanical engineering as applied to power delivery.
• Advanced understanding of electric power utility industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent team building and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• The Program Director (PD) will manage the delivery of engineering and professional services on assigned program(s).
• PD will engage technical teams providing services, review team progress, evaluate team effectiveness and work through the responsible engineering managers and section managers to maximize the outcomes on the program.
• Collaborate with Section Managers on the delivery of engineering activities. Support the SMs with resource management and assessment. Escalate performance issues and opportunities to advance the business.
• Partner with the Project Management Organization (PMO) to optimize the management of the program. Provide issue management and deep dive investigation to supplement the daily project management duties.
• Develop financial forecasts of the revenue and operating income on the program. Work with the BD manager/Account Manager on larger client management initiatives.
• Support the VP of Transmission and Substation on special projects as assigned.
