Job summary

Housing Works is seeking a Program Coordinator to provide programmatic and clinical leadership for the Lexington Avenue Short-Term Emergency Housing program. You will oversee regulatory compliance, supervise case management staff, and support housing stability outcomes with a resident-centered approach.

Responsibilities include leadership of operations, supervision, client service plans, and cross-team reporting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required; LCSW preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Experience with homelessness services or related populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of programmatic and clinical operations to ensure funder and policy compliance.
• Supervise Housing Case Managers and staff; provide documented supervision and professional development.
• Review and approve resident assessments, service plans, and case conferences; ensure timely updates.
• Coordinate data collection and reporting with cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain occupancy 95%+ by managing vacancies and unit turnover.
• Engage residents through harm reduction, trauma-informed approaches, and crisis intervention.
