Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA seeks a Principal Program Control Analyst (Level 3) to provide financial and administrative support across programs using EVM concepts.

You will interact with program managers and CAMs, develop budget baselines, perform cost forecasting, and prepare government reports while leveraging SAP/BW tools. This on-site role offers a hybrid telework option and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Business Management, Accounting, Financial Analysis, and/or industry related field OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Business Management, Accounting, Financial Analysis, and/or industry related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret Clearance within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience in Government Contracting with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Financial forecasting experience with EVMS and/or government cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Use financial systems, to learn basic understanding of EVMS principles and hands on cost performance reporting/analysis skills
• Develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity
• Analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques; Work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus
• Exert some influence on peers and internal customers; good interpersonal skills while representing the group on special projects outside of own group
