Job summary

RTX is seeking a Test Qualification Lead to plan, execute, and document environmental test campaigns ensuring compliance with system and component requirements. You will serve as the technical authority for test methods, readiness, anomaly resolution, and verification closure.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, with focus on vibration, thermal-vacuum, E3, and instrumentation. Onsite in Tucson, AZ with strong potential for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering required.
• 8+ years in environmental qualification testing.
• Experience with MIL-STD-810 and related standards.
• Experience leading vibration, thermal and E3 testing.
• Experience with test instrumentation and data acquisition.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of environmental qualification tests (vibration, shock, temperature, humidity, altitude, E3).
• Develop test plans, procedures, and reports per military/industry requirements.
• Interface between design, labs, systems engineering, and program management for test matters.
• Review requirements and ensure allocation, verification methods, and coverage.
• Generate configurations and instrumentation plans for tests.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews and ensure safety and compliance.
• Manage anomalies, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Interpret data and document results for customer delivery.
• Provide guidance on qualification strategy and compliance approaches.
• Support risk management, scheduling, and resource planning.
• Mentor junior engineers.
