Job summary

BNY Mellon in Boston seeks a Senior Specialist, Production Services Infrastructure Support Analyst to protect critical information and assets across the IT stack. You will participate in server lifecycles, patching, tuning, and break/fix activities while collaborating with diverse teams.

The role requires strong Linux/Windows administration, VMware, SAN/NAS, backup expertise, and scripting skills in Shell/PowerShell/Python, plus experience with Ansible/Jenkins/Git/Azure/Oracle Cloud.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in Linux administration with excellent troubleshooting skills; RHCE certification is a plus.
• Experience in Windows administration, including Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in VMware administration: installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, patching, and backup/recovery of VMs.
• Experience in SAN/NAS storage administration, including SAN zoning and SAN migration.
• Experience in backup administration (Data Domain, NetBackup).
• Proficiency with shell, PowerShell, and Python scripting.
• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Azure, VMware, Oracle Cloud, Cisco UCS, and Oracle Exadata.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Protect critical information, systems, and assets; build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing an overall IT strategy.
• Empower breakthrough innovations, take ownership of challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and drive responsibilities.
• Participate in all aspects of web, database, and application server lifecycles: installing new hardware and operating systems, supporting existing servers and platforms, applying bug and security patches, performance monitoring and tuning, break/fix troubleshooting, and retiring or upgrading older hardware and platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve problems quickly, and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and users to ensure a smooth, efficient technology infrastructure.
