Job summary

BNY is seeking a Senior Specialist, Production Services Infrastructure Support Analyst in the Boston area. The role focuses on diagnosing issues, managing server lifecycles, and driving automation across Linux, Windows, VMware and storage environments.

You will leverage skills in scripting, Ansible/Jenkins/Git, and exposure to Azure/Oracle Cloud to protect critical systems and support IT strategy. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration with troubleshooting skills; RHCE a plus.
• 5-7 years of overall experience.
• Extensive Windows administration (Windows Server 2012/2016/2019) with strong troubleshooting.
• VMware administration: day-to-day management including installation, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery.
• SAN/NAS storage administration (SAN zoning, SAN migration). EMC experience is a plus.
• Backup administration (Data Domain, NetBackup).
• Scripting skills in Shell, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
• Exposure to Azure, VMware, Oracle Cloud, Cisco UCS, and Oracle Exadata.
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve problems quickly and communicate with interdisciplinary teams and users.
• Participate in all aspects of web, database, and application server life‑cycles: install hardware/OS, support servers, patching, monitoring, upgrades.
• Help empower breakthroughs, take ownership of initiatives, and lead challenging assignments.
