Job summary

A.W. Chesterton Company is seeking a production-planning professional to coordinate fabrication component supply and work closely with Manufacturing and Materials Management.

The role emphasizes strong MRP knowledge, planning skills, and exceptional interpersonal communication to meet delivery targets. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in manufacturing and 4–6 years of related experience; CPIM is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or equivalent, CPIM preferred.
• 4–6 years of related manufacturing/production planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of materials planning, scheduling and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage fabrication component supply to meet quality, cost, inventory and delivery requirements.
• Review master schedule and planned orders from MRP; take action as needed.
• Prepare shop orders and manage customer order backlog with the Customer Service Team.
• Develop capacity planning profiles balancing internal and external capacity.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and process improvements.
