Job summary

Jobot in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Production Planner to lead production scheduling across internal and contract manufacturers. You will own MRP parameters, monitor inventory, and provide management with timely status updates to keep supply flowing as we bring manufacturing in-house.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of production planning, experience with multiple contract sites, strong ERP/APS/MRP skills (Infor SyteLine, SAP), advanced Excel, and a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of production planning experience, ideally with subcontract or contract manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating multiple contract manufacturing sites.
• Strong inventory management, including safety stock and replenishment.
• Manufacturing background with multi-component finished goods (chemical, plastics or CPG preferred).
• Strong MRP knowledge, including planning parameters and batch maintenance.
• Strong ERP/APS/MRP experience (Infor SyteLine preferred; SAP or similar).
• S&OP / IBP knowledge and experience.
• Strong with systems and an operational mindset.
• Bias for action and initiative.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office; Power BI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute production plans in APS/MRP systems (e.g., SyteLine).
• Align component timing across multiple suppliers and contract manufacturing sites.
• Decide what runs on the production line and adjust schedules for changes in demand.
• Own and maintain MRP planning parameters and ensure batch accuracy and setup.
• Monitor inventory levels and flag shortages or imbalances.
• Carry out recovery plans to resolve shortages and backorders.
• Keep ERP data accurate: BOM, item master data and planning parameters.
• Handle inventory activity: discrepancies, transfers, receipts, adjustments.
• Maintain capacity and planning data for accurate scheduling.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contract manufacturers to execute plans.
• Communicate production status to management.
• Support IBP and planning processes with data updates.
• Support new product development and packaging changes.
