Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Production Operations professional to serve as the main manufacturing liaison to the IPT, directing manufacturing strategy, scheduling, and cost management for complex composite production. The role includes supporting EVMS, preparing BOEs, and managing indirect budgets.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of related experience or advanced degrees with corresponding experience, and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or related field; Master’s degree with 3 years experience; OR PhD with 0 years experience.
• Experience supporting complex composite production in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Experience interfacing with IPT and cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to EVMS, cost/schedule reporting, or budget tracking.
• Ability to assess issues, create action plans, and report risks to leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to leadership or customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary manufacturing liaison to IPT for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
• Lead operational portions of program reviews with internal and external customers.
• Assess project issues; develop, drive, and track action plans to meet productivity and cost goals.
• Develop and maintain mechanisms for monitoring project progress and risks.
• Coordinate and lead preparation of manufacturing proposals and BOE justifications.
• Support EVMS for manufacturing scope and develop estimates at complete (EACs).
• Manage indirect budgets for production operations including labor and overhead.
• Drive continuous improvement and mitigate risks in safety, quality, and throughput.
