Amsted Automotive Group is seeking a Production Manager to lead all production operations and supervisor teams in a manufacturing setting. The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement, reporting to the Plant Manager.

You will develop Production Supervisors, drive continuous improvement, and align production with plant objectives while managing daily tasks such as maintenance, scheduling, and shop floor safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering or similar field with relevant experience.
• Direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (metals machinery, fabrication preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, SAP).
• Willingness to manage change and ambiguity; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations through Production Supervisors to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement goals.
• Develop and coach Production Supervisors; build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive operational excellence by supervising production plans, staffing, and resource balancing across areas.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and customer requirements; reduce scrap and defects through problem solving.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives; standardize best practices across shifts and departments.
• Participate in plant-wide initiatives, audits, and strategic objectives.
