Job summary

AM General LLC is seeking a Production/Materials Supervisor to oversee safety, quality, and productivity on the shop floor. You will supervise hourly production and material handling staff, monitor shortages, coordinate with other departments, and drive lean initiatives.

The role requires effective leadership, strong organizational skills, and SAP/MS Outlook knowledge. You will lead daily meetings and ensure timely material movement to the line while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; 3–5 years of general experience and 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong organizational skills and MS Office proficiency.
• SAP experience preferred and ability to train hourly employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity within the area.
• Supervise production and material handling hourly employees.
• Monitor shortages and eliminate downtime.
• Coordinate with departments to locate material as needed.
• Ensure accurate line counts and timely reporting of shortages; manage containers.
• Move material to the production line in a timely manner.
• Lead lean initiatives and oversee long-term projects to completion.
• Lead daily shift and group leader meetings.
• Ensure employee safety and answer questions; maintain workplace organization.
