Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group is seeking a Team Leader to drive daily production in our Shelby Township, MI facility. You will lead the assigned work cell to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals while coordinating staffing and providing guidance to team members.

You will act as a working Team Leader, ensuring proper staffing, communicating priorities across shifts, tracking performance, and implementing lean improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP handheld scanners and machine control panels.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 requirements.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to prioritize work and ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery expectations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the work cell to meet safety, quality, productivity, and production goals.
• Serve as a working Team Leader, directing and supporting team members.
• Staff and coordinate staffing coverage to maximize productivity.
• Communicate priorities and updates between team members and shifts.
• Ensure priority and rush jobs meet shipment requirements.
• Provide timely production reporting and corrective actions.
