Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing is seeking a Production Control Planner/Scheduler III to join our North Alabama team, overseeing production control, scheduling, and manufacturing orders across multiple programs. You will drive schedule resolution, mentor junior planners, and ensure ERP data accuracy using Deltek Costpoint.

The role involves leading cross-functional reviews with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, and delivering reports and dashboards to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of prior relevant work experience or a Masters degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant work experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma with 10 years of experience will be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or warehousing with degree.
• Six years without degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning activities across multiple projects, balancing capacity, materials, and schedule requirements.
• Monitor and control work order execution, proactively resolving shortages, engineering changes, and priority conflicts.
• Interpret, prioritize, and execute MRP action messages to adjust procurement, rescheduling, and work order release decisions.
• Develop and maintain production schedules, Line of Balance (LOB) charts, and milestone tracking.
• Provide production control expertise in cross-functional meetings with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
