Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking a Production Control Manager 2 to join the Production Control Team within the Manufacturing Organization. This role requires directing schedules, coordinating material flow, and leading a team to meet delivery requirements.

Responsibilities include overseeing WIP, material availability, and interdepartmental coordination with QA, manufacturing, and engineering. A strong background in MRP and leadership is essential, with a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience in Operations, Production Planning, Program Management or equivalent experience
• Experience leading people and/or projects
• Experience working with manufacturing and production concepts
• Experience delivering presentations to senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities to plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules
• Manage the controlled flow of material and hardware from receipt into a manufacturing area
• Oversee the status of work in process, material availability, and potential production problems
• Manage the priority and scheduling of equipment and personnel, and prepare work orders or purchase requests
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and inventory control
• Provide direction and coaching to production planning and material control team members
• Lead in manufacturing requirements planning, production scheduling, WIP management and MMAS auditing
