Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Sr. Principal Production Operations to lead manufacturing strategy and program execution on-site.

You will serve as the primary liaison across product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance, interfacing with program management to address technical, cost, and schedule performance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or a Master’s with 6+ years, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years in PM, manufacturing, or related discipline; Master's with 6 years.
• Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
• Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems.
• Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance and SAP is required.
• U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy.
• Primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customers.
• Oversee and manage the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serve as primary liaison to program management.
• Assess project and technical issues and develop action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, and customers.
• Coordinate and lead the preparation of proposals; prepare and review all manufacturing Basis of Estimate, create master production schedules, and coordinate material planning and production scheduling.
• Drive continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities
