Job summary

Stored Energy Systems LLC (SENS) in Longmont, CO is seeking a seasoned Product Support Engineer to lead technical resolution of customer issues while supporting production and sustaining engineering. You will coordinate with Engineering, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Quality to diagnose problems, implement corrective actions, and share learnings across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical engineering, 8+ years in product support or related fields,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in product support, sustaining engineering, NPI, or technical support in manufacturing.
• Experience communicating with customers about complex technical issues.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (DMMs, DAQ, oscilloscopes, load banks).
• Experience with software programming and reading code to troubleshoot.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and software installation tasks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Own escalated customer technical issues from initial assessment to resolution.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Quality.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electromechanical, software and interface issues.
• Document symptoms, diagnostics, root cause, containment and actions.
• Analyze failure data and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Provide escalated technical support to the manufacturing line as needed.
• Develop and maintain engineering changes to resolve issues and improve manufacturability.
• Create build, assembly, troubleshooting and test instructions.
• Read, troubleshoot and improve software functions used to configure and test products.
• Maintain BOMs, model-number structures and related engineering records.
