Stored Energy Systems in Longmont, CO is seeking a self-motivated Product Support Engineer to lead technical resolution of customer-reported issues and support production needs. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Service to translate field concerns into clear problem statements and drive corrective actions.

The role combines customer support, sustaining engineering, and documentation with opportunities to improve product reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years in product support, sustaining engineering, NPI, or technical support in manufacturing.
• Strong communication with customers on complex technical issues.
• Hands-on with test equipment for measurements and troubleshooting.
• Experience reading code to troubleshoot software issues.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own escalated customer technical issues from initial assessment to resolution by coordinating Engineering, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers.
• Communicate with customers to gather info, set expectations, explain findings, provide status updates, and confirm resolution.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electromechanical, software, and communication-interface issues using root-cause analysis.
• Document symptoms, evidence, root cause, containment and corrective actions for reuse.
• Analyze failure data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve quality and reliability.
• Provide flexible, escalated technical support to manufacturing as needed.
