Job summary

Stored Energy Systems in Longmont, CO seeks a Sustaining Electrical Engineer to own ongoing hardware support and improvements for released products. You will solve field and production issues, manage component life cycles, and implement reliable design changes.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure cost-effective, quality solutions while improving test fixtures and documentation for released products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in sustaining engineering or hardware product support.
• Strong analog/digital circuit knowledge and power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Own sustaining engineering activities for released SENS products, balancing reliability, availability, manufacturability, cost, and customer needs.
• Investigate electrical design issues in production or field; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Provide Tier 2 technical support to Production diagnosing complex problems in product, assembly, wiring, and test.
• Monitor component reliability, lifecycle, availability, and obsolescence risks; qualify alternatives.
• Develop, validate, and release engineering changes; update BOMs, drawings, and specs.
• Create and maintain customer documentation for released products; coordinate content with Engineering and Customer Service.
