General Motors is seeking a Product Cybersecurity Engineer, Secure Product Engineering, to act as a senior contributor within the Product Cybersecurity organization. You will collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure secure software and systems as GM products move through build stages.

The role emphasizes hands-on execution, building tooling and guardrails, and guiding secure engineering practices across embedded vehicle software, mobile experiences, and core services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years cybersecurity experience in application/product security
• Demonstrated technical leadership and influence without formal authority
• Strong experience with application security and secure software engineering
• Experience with SAST, DAST, fuzzing, code review, and secure SDLC workflows
• Able to read and write software in multiple programming languages to build tooling
• Works closely with engineering teams to improve security with minimal friction

Responsabilités

• Serve as a hands-on technical contributor across secure software and systems engineering
• Design, build, and mature secure engineering services for GM products
• Embed with product engineering teams to support secure implementation
• Implement and mature SAST, DAST, fuzzing, runtime security, and OS security hardening
• Author technical guidance, reusable patterns, and guardrails for product environments
• Perform in-depth secure code review and improve tooling across teams
• Mentor engineers to uphold a high technical bar
