Job summary

General Motors Corporation seeks a Product Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as a hands-on contributor within Secure Product Engineering, shaping secure software and systems as GM products move through development.

You will build tooling, patterns, and guardrails, mentor engineers, and lead by example, influencing security across embedded vehicle software, mobile experiences, and backend services.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cybersecurity experience in application security or product security.
• Proven ability to influence and mentor engineers without direct authority.
• Strong expertise in secure software engineering and practical guidance.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, fuzzing, code reviews, and secure SDLC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on contributor across secure software engineering, driving outcomes within engineering teams.
• Design, build, and mature secure engineering services for GM products.
• Partner with product engineering teams to implement secure coding practices.
