Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Sr Product Quality Engineer to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high quality, reliable AES products such as Menace-I and TITAN. You will drive data collection, RCCA, and NC/Corrective actions across design, manufacturing, and field use.

You’ll own product quality plans, lead cross-functional teams from concept through production, and shape measurement systems using GD&T, FMEA, APQP, and PPAP principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aerospace/defense or similar complex hardware environments.
• Proven experience leading RCCA efforts using 8D, Lean Six Sigma, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA, harnessing, machined & sheet metal components, and weldment structures.
• Experience with FMEA, V&V, APQP, PPAP elements including MSA and GD&T.
• Proven experience creating and managing a Program Quality Management Plan (QMP).
• Analytical skills with data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical tools (MATLAB, JMP, Minitab).
• Configuration Management and Document Control knowledge.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive product improvement by implementing data collection and incident reporting for design reviews, process development, verification, validation, and qualification.
• Clarify and resolve development ambiguities affecting product quality and reliability for volume production.
• Lead RCCA activities for field and reliability issues and share lessons across teams.
• Champion the transition from NPI to a sustainable product experience for customers.
• Own elimination of product risk and improve reliability across the lifecycle.
• Define and improve product and process requirements and ensure they are executed.
• Work cross-functionally to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Analyze product health data and establish metrics for quality performance.
• Support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and required documentation.
• Support investigations and projects at team or org level.
• Develop and implement manufacturing quality requirements and standards per component category.
