Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to lead quality programs for missile systems. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain to define quality requirements, perform risk assessments, and drive processes that ensure first-time quality across development and production.

You will own RCCA and MRB activities, develop quality plans, and mentor a small team to improve reliability. A TS/SCI clearance is required or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality on missiles or high velocity vehicle systems.
• Knowledge of design review and quality management of missile systems, PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration.
• Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development.
• Team collaboration with Reliability Engineering, chief engineers, manufacturing engineering, and customer facing teams.
• Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements such as MSA, and GD&T.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical manufacturing processes and industry standards.
• Strong ownership mindset to drive projects from start to finish.
• Analytical skills and experience with data mining and statistical tools.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development and production for missile programs with quality planning, inspection, and metric tracking.
• Resolve production ambiguities related to product maturity and field performance.
• Lead transition to sustainable high-rate manufacturing and supply chain deployment.
• Own elimination of product risk to improve reliability across the lifecycle.
• Ensure execution of product and process requirements and define improvements.
• Lead RCCA and MRB activities and review action effectiveness.
• Lead product health data analysis and metrics development.
• Support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop an overall quality plan for missile projects and manage qualification, PPAP, and testing plans.
• Lead supplier quality engineers supporting missile program design and development.
