Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City seeks a Product Owner aligned with the Lead Product Owner & Business Product Management to translate business wants into prioritized requirements and roadmaps for the FedNow service.

The successful candidate will manage the team backlog, work with architecture, engineering and QA, and present working software to stakeholders while driving agile practices and delivering value for FRFS customers across the United States.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 7–10 years of related experience.
Bridge business and IT to align needs and solutions.
Strong ability to develop business requirements, use cases, and functional specs.
Proven problem solving, independence, and cross-functional collaboration.
Advanced Product Owner certification (Scrum/SAFe) and JIRA experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage and prioritize epics/features into user stories with acceptance criteria.
Communicate the product vision and roadmaps to stakeholders and agile teams.
Collaborate with architecture, engineering and QA to ensure customer problems are solved.
Translate requirements into technical specs when needed.
Present working software to stakeholders at team and system demos.
Monitor OKRs and drive continuous product improvement.
