Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City seeks a Product Owner to translate business needs into a prioritized backlog and guide an Agile team to deliver value. You will align with the Lead Product Owner and Product Management to ensure outcomes along the roadmap.

You will work onsite within FRFS, collaborating with architecture, engineering, and QA, refining requirements, writing user stories, and ensuring acceptance criteria are met while advocating for customers and managing risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent work experience.
• Typically requires 7–10 years of related experience.
• Ability to bridge business/IT divide and build rapport.
• Strong requirements analysis including use cases and specs.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Certified Product Owner in Scrum or SAFe is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Translate business wants into features and user stories for the Agile team.
• Refine and prioritize the backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and QA to deliver solutions.
• Communicate the vision, goals, and roadmap to stakeholders.
• Present working software during team and system demos.
