Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Product Owner to translate business needs into a prioritized backlog. The role requires collaboration with architecture, engineering, and QA to deliver customer-focused outcomes and maintain an agile program roadmap.

You will work with Lead Product Owner and Product Management to articulate vision, manage epics and user stories, participate in governance forums, and promote agile practices across FRFS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• 7–10 years of related experience.
• Bridge business and IT with strong requirements analysis.
• Strong problem solving and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with multiple deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Certified Product Owner in Scrum or SAFe (advanced) and JIRA experience desirable.
• Background in financial services with cloud web applications.

Responsibilities

• Translate business wants into a prioritized backlog with actionable user stories.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and QA to ensure correct problems are solved.
• Communicate vision, goals, and roadmap to stakeholders and agile team.
• Decompose epics into detailed features and acceptance criteria.
• Promote agile behaviors across FRFS and manage product OKRs.
• Prepare proposals for governance forums and present working software.
