Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced product owner to lead Bank agile teams, translating business strategy into a clear backlog and defining acceptance criteria. You will collaborate with stakeholders to align goals and ensure the delivery of high-quality product and member experiences.

The role requires driving OKRs, prioritizing the backlog, and guiding multiple teams while maintaining focus on risk, compliance, and continuous improvement through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or directly related to supported business operations/product line.
  • Knowledge of multiple technical software delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe.
  • Advanced experience analyzing business requirements, process flows and use cases to identify opportunities to streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of Process Engineering methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of applicable banking, regulatory, compliance policies including applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience supporting residential mortgage products, processes, and servicing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements to support Agile delivery objectives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional dependencies and coordinating work across multiple business, technology, and delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks; SAFe®, Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), Scrum, or other Agile-related certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, drive alignment among stakeholders, and support teams in achieving delivery commitments.
  • Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and drive the product vision and strategy to key stakeholders and Bank agile team members.
  • Ensure delivery of quality product and member experience solutions through stakeholder collaboration.

  • Define and communicate acceptance criteria based on business requirements and customer needs.
  • Solve complex issues using data-driven decision making.
  • Allocate funds and develop and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Act as the voice of the end-user and seek customer feedback.
  • Own, groom, prioritize, and refine the Bank agile team backlog.
  • Maintain user stories and work with the agile team to estimate story size and complexity.
  • Optimize value flow across the multi-team Agile environment.
  • Remove impediments, resolve conflicts, and manage risks and issues.
  • Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, anticipate and remove roadblocks, and answer questions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous team and process improvement and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead functional agile teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Ensure business activity risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled according to risk and compliance policies and procedures.
