Job summary

Stord is building a homegrown Warehouse Execution System (WES) that sits between our WMS and floor automation. You decide, in real time, what work is released and in what order, building a single, integrated system rather than bolted-on solutions.

This senior role carries director-level scope: you own strategy, architecture tradeoffs, and stakeholder alignment across Product, Engineering, Ops, and DC leadership with minimal hand-holding.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in product management in complex, physical-world environments.
• Direct exposure to warehouse execution, WMS/WCS/WES concepts.
• Ability to translate floor realities into product requirements.
• Experience owning ambiguous, build-it-yourself scopes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; travel-ready.

Responsibilities

• Define and own WES vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product.
• Make build-vs-defer tradeoffs for WES scope and releases.
• Design cross-automation coordination across multiple systems.
• Collaborate with Eng and Controls to define data/timing contracts.
• Develop operational logic for failures, congestion, mixed flows.
• Create a plan for plug-and-play integration layers.
• Scope and run structured Innovation Lab pilots.
• Quantify value with ROI, throughput, and labor impact.
• Bridge Innovation Lab findings into the core roadmap.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with DC Ops, Eng, and executives.
• Present roadmap and pilot outcomes to SLT clearly and concisely.
