Job summary

Stord is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead two WMS engineering teams responsible for live fulfillment operations. You will own people management, set cadence for delivery, and drive platform enhancements with a strong focus on reliability and production readiness.

You’ll collaborate with product and other WMS managers to align priorities, translate business needs into technical work, and guide teams through incidents and root‑cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Must have direct experience managing engineers: hiring, performance reviews, feedback, and career development.
• Able to run one or two Scrum teams with predictable delivery cadence and clear progress reporting.
• Strong production mindset with focus on reliability, monitoring, and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete people management lifecycle for two engineering teams, including hiring, 1:1s, performance management, and career development.
• Set sprint goals and delivery commitments for both teams and maintain a consistent cadence.
• Run team ceremonies (planning, retros, standups) to foster trust and team health while delivering on platform improvements.
