Job summary

Dow Jones seeks a Principal Product Manager for Subscriber Lifecycle to own the value of subscriptions, from onboarding to retention, across The Wall Street Journal and other Dow Jones products. You’ll lead a team, align with marketing, engineering and design, and run experiments to protect and grow recurring revenue.

You will shape retention strategies, oversee core systems, and influence senior stakeholders while maintaining a superior subscriber experience across web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in product management focusing on subscriber retention/engagement
  • Experience managing product managers, hiring, coaching, reviews
  • Proven use of AI tools to enhance quality and velocity of work
  • Strong experimentation and data-driven decision making
  • Ability to discuss architecture and technical feasibility with engineers
  • Influencing VP-level stakeholders and communicating strategy
  • Understanding of subscriber lifecycle metrics
  • Knowledge of digital media and subscription businesses
  • Experience with native mobile apps (Braze/Piano a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Define long-term product strategy for in-life subscriber lifecycle across web and mobile
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers
  • Own prioritization across a multi-brand, multi-surface portfolio (WSJ, Barron's, MarketWatch)
  • Drive alignment with engineering, design, marketing, data science, and senior leadership
  • Run a rigorous experimentation program with A/B testing and funnel analysis
  • Own retention systems and tooling strategy
  • Balance retention and revenue goals with subscriber experience and brand health
