Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, seeks a Senior Product Manager II to own the customer experience for security detection and deterrence across the Vivint app and in-home displays. You will translate complex computer vision capabilities into clear, reliable experiences across live video, playback, clips, alerts, lights, sirens, audio, two-way communication, and monitoring workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in consumer hardware+software, IoT, video or security products.
• Experience with video software, computer vision, AI-enabled experiences, live streaming, playback, clips or timelines.
• Ability to translate complex capabilities into clear experiences for customers.
• Strong judgment on trust, privacy, safety, and customer control in home environments.

Responsibilities

• Own how camera detections show up for customers across live video, playback, clips, event timelines and alert surfaces.
• Partner with AI and computer vision teams to define quality bars and prioritize improvements.
• Design for moments when detection is uncertain, ensuring clear user understanding and trust.
• Shape how a detection becomes an alert, deterrent action or alarm with balanced user control and security outcomes.
• Improve deterrence experiences like lights, sirens, audio, and two-way communication.
• Collaborate with monitoring operations to support alarm verification and response.
• Write clear requirements, lead discovery, align stakeholders and ship on a predictable cadence with engineering, design, and QA.
• Partner with marketing and pricing teams to build go-to-market plans for new detection and deterrence experiences.
• Set and report on metrics such as feature adoption, detection quality, alert engagement, deterrence effectiveness, and customer trust.
