Job summary

NRG Energy's Vivint Smart Home division seeks a Senior Product Manager II to own the core customer experience for arming and protecting the home. You will analyze usage patterns, pain points and decision drivers for arming, disarming, and alarm responses, translating insights into reliable experiences that build confidence and reduce false alarms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience shipping consumer hardware-plus-software.
• Experience designing journeys across education, setup, daily use, automation and escalation.
• Proven ability collaborating with engineering to translate complex systems into value.
• Experience with trust, privacy, safety in home environments.
• Strong data-driven prioritization and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own arming confidence roadmap translating behavior into experiences and investments.
• Design guided onboarding, training and reminder experiences to build confidence.
• Reduce false alarms while ensuring safety and reliability.
• Collaborate on alarm notification strategy and escalation paths.
• Define zero-touch arming/disarming experiences and automation.
• Enable users to create automations and shortcuts around arming/disarming.
• Work with marketing on go-to-market for new experiences.
• Set and report metrics like adoption and confidence.
