Job summary

Charles Schwab in Westlake, TX is seeking a Senior Manager to support the IS business through strategic initiatives that enhance the client experience, drive growth, and improve the BAT operating model’s scalability.

You will partner with engineering, UX, architecture, and business stakeholders to define priorities, manage the product backlog, and translate customer and business needs into actionable user stories while ensuring predictable, high‑quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work‑related experience.
• Must have Schwab experience.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
• Experience with Jira, GitHub, Confluence, Remedy.
• Change Management and Tech Governance experience.
• Software Development Lifecycle knowledge.
• Strong client‑centric orientation aligned to Schwab’s purpose.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and partnership building.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling.
• Ability to influence leadership and peers.
• Knowledge of SQL, Visual Studio C#, Python, .NET, PowerBI, Tableau, API a bonus.
• Strong user story writing and backlog refinement skills.
• Experience delivering customer‑facing digital products.

Responsibilities

• Support NextGen BAT initiatives to enhance client experience and scalability.
• Partner with business and tech teams to align plans to goals and timelines.
• Leverage AI and data insights to identify opportunities and pricing decisions.
• Provide updates, analysis, and dashboards to stakeholders.
• Own, prioritise, and maintain the team backlog and strategy.
• Develop and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineers, UX, architects, and QA to deliver web and mobile experiences.
• Support initiatives such as participant dashboard modernization.
• Participate in discovery to understand client pain points and opportunities.
• Glean feedback from clients and vendors to inform product decisions.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Ensure predictable delivery and strong backlog health.
• Monitor product performance and plan future enhancements.
