Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Senior Product Manager in Boston, MA to shape clinical experiences and drive AI-enabled improvements. You will lead multiple encounter and visit workstreams, partner with UX, Engineering, Data Science, and Clinical Informatics, and own discovery, strategy, and delivery as an individual contributor.

This role reports to the Executive Director, Product Management. You bring 5+ years in product management, healthcare workflow insight, and Agile/ Scrum experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience shipping products and measuring outcomes.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare enterprise needs.
• Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner on Agile or Scrum teams.
• Practical experience using AI tools for product discovery, prototyping, or development.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery, strategy, and delivery across related workstreams with roadmaps and measurable objectives.
• Prototype to learn with UX and Engineering to test ideas with clinicians.
• Serve as Scrum Product Owner: backlogs, specs, user stories, scope, sequencing.
• Make AI tools part of everyday product work with human review when needed.
• Lead launches with customer-facing partners, measure adoption and outcomes, iterate.
• Define evaluation criteria for AI-enabled features with cross-functional partners.
