Job summary

Cisco Legal is seeking a Principal Corporate Counsel to join the Networking & Collaboration Product Legal team, directly supporting Campus Networking and Webex. You will provide practical legal guidance to executives and engineers to balance risk and enable business outcomes.

You will collaborate across product lifecycle with business, sales, engineering, operations, finance and legal teams, handling AI/privacy, data protection and IP matters globally.

Qualifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
• 7+ years in a law firm and/or in-house.
• Experience with software/cloud/SaaS products licensing.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical guidance to product management and engineering teams on new and existing services, products, and features throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop close working relationships with the business, sales, engineering, operations, finance and legal teams bringing products to market and understanding go-to-market strategies.
• Advise on AI, privacy, data protection, regulatory issues and IP matters in collaboration with legal subject matter experts on a global basis.
• Draft and maintain product legal collateral, such as transparency disclosures and product-specific terms.
• Be a great teammate, willing to pitch in and assist wherever needed.
