Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Principal Corporate Counsel to join our Networking & Collaboration Product Legal team, supporting Campus Networking and Webex businesses. You will provide practical legal guidance to product managers and engineers in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires 7+ years of experience in transactional or product counseling, a track record with software/SaaS licensing, and strong writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bar admission with 7+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house role.
• Experience with software/cloud/SaaS products and licensing.
• Ability to manage multiple internal clients and projects end-to-end.
• Exceptional writing and oral communication skills.
• Experience with privacy, data protection and data use issues; CIPP/E a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical guidance to product management and engineering teams across the product lifecycle.
• Develop relationships with business, sales, engineering, operations, finance and legal teams to bring products to market.
• Advise on AI, privacy, data protection, regulatory issues and IP matters with global experts.
• Draft and maintain product legal collateral, disclosures and terms.
• Be a collaborative teammate willing to pitch in as needed.
