Job summary

Cisco Legal is seeking a Principal Corporate Counsel to support the Campus Networking and Webex businesses within the Networking & Collaboration Product Legal team. You will provide practical guidance to product management and engineering, advise on AI, privacy and data protection issues, and draft product-specific terms.

A collaborative, cross-functional approach with executives and engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bar admission with 7+ years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal role.
• Proven experience with software/cloud/SaaS products and licensing matters.
• Strong ability to manage legal requests from multiple internal clients and to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues.
• Experience with privacy, data protection and data use issues; CIPP/E is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical guidance to product management and engineering teams on services, products, and features throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop close relationships with business, sales, engineering, operations, finance and legal teams to bring products to market.
• Advise on AI, privacy, data protection, regulatory issues and IP matters in collaboration with global experts.
• Draft and maintain product legal collateral, such as transparency disclosures and product terms.
• Be a great teammate and assist wherever needed.
