Job summary

Cisco Legal is seeking a Principal Corporate Counsel to support our Networking & Collaboration Product Legal team, focusing on Campus Networking and Webex. You will deliver practical legal guidance across product lifecycle, collaborating with business, sales, engineering, operations and finance to bring products to market.

You will advise on AI, privacy, data protection and IP matters globally, drafting product terms and disclosures, and serving as a trusted partner to executives and engineers

Qualifications

Bar admission with 7+ years of experience in law firms or in-house roles.
Experience with software/cloud/SaaS products and licensing matters.
Exceptional writing and oral communication skills.
Experience with privacy, data protection and data use issues; CIPP/E is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide practical legal guidance to product management and engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop close working relationships with business, sales, engineering, operations, finance and legal teams.
Advise on AI, privacy, data protection, regulatory issues and IP matters globally.
Draft and maintain product legal collateral and disclosures.
