Job summary

Leviton is seeking a Project Manager in Melville, NY to independently lead multiple product-development projects from concept through commercialization. You’ll coordinate mechanical, electrical, software, and supply-chain teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.

You'll develop integrated project plans, manage risks, and communicate status to stakeholders. The role requires strong governance experience, cross-functional leadership, and mentoring of Associate Project Leads to strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Five or more years managing complex cross-functional projects.
• PMP Certification or equivalent.
• Experience with integrated schedules and budgets.
• Experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent.
• Experience managing new product development for manufactured products.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple cross-functional product-development projects from concept through design, validation, manufacturing integration, and commercial launch.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions.
• Lead the resolution of complex project issues and elevate matters when additional authority, resources or executive direction are required.
• Make or facilitate decisions that support project objectives and adjust plans as needed.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and alignment across the cross-functional project team
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools, including dependency, critical-path, resource, and schedule-risk analysis.
• Provide clear and timely project updates, recommendations, and escalation summaries to project teams, functional leaders, sponsors, and senior management.
• Mentor Associate Project Leads and support the development of project-management capabilities across the organization.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to project-management standards, tools, templates, governance, and delivery processes.
• Evaluate financial, operational, customer, quality, supply-chain, and strategic implications when developing recommendations and making project decisions.
