Job summary

Leviton in Melville, NY seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test components for residential products. You will work with cross-functional teams to bring ideas from concept to validation and support manufacturing.

The role requires fundamentals in analog/digital circuits, microcontrollers, and test instrumentation, with 0–3 years of experience. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) required.
• 0–3 years of electrical engineering experience; internship or co‑op is a plus.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design; embedded systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Confer with team members to discuss engineering projects and products.
• Coordinate manufacturing, testing, and documentation to ensure specifications.
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical components and systems.
• Prepare specifications for materials and equipment purchases.
• Operate CAD/EDA tools for design, analysis, and documentation.
• Inspect installations to ensure conformance with design and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain design, test, and validation documentation per ISO requirements.
• Support new technologies in residential electrical products and test systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support product development.
• Perform investigations and root-cause analysis for field issues.
