Job summary

MegaFood is seeking a Senior Product Development Manager to lead formulation, process development, scale-up and commercialization of dietary supplement dosage forms. You will stay abreast of the competitive landscape and propose renovation and innovation ideas to drive growth.

You will manage a team of R&D Formulators, provide technical leadership across bench-top to commercialization, collaborate with Marketing and operations, and drive innovation through cross-functional partnerships while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or related science.
• Advanced degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 10–14 years leading product development from bench-top to commercialization.
• 1–3 years in nutraceutical, supplement, confectionery or pharmaceutical development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages portfolio of product development projects with defined objectives, resources and plans for on-time launches.
• Provides technical leadership to deliver all NPD process aspects from initial research to commercialization.
• Leads collaboration with Marketing and cross-functional teams to achieve innovation and renovation goals.
• Oversees R&D lab equipment allocation, maintenance and calibration.
• Develops and protects IP related to composition, usage and manufacturing when appropriate.
• Coaches Formulators to work independently within project teams and mentors staff.
