Job summary

ProCaps Laboratories is seeking a Director of Product Development to lead end‑to‑end nutraceutical product development, formulation, and commercialization. You will drive cross‑functional teams from concept to scale‑up, ensuring quality, stability, and regulatory compliance across dosage forms.

The role requires deep biochemistry knowledge, strong leadership, and hands‑on commercialization experience to bring innovative products to market efficiently while managing costs and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced or graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive product development, formulation, or related technical experience, including at least five years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of biochemistry, formulation science, ingredient functionality and interactions, stability, bioavailability, and product performance in dietary supplements and nutraceuticals.
• Experience with FDA, DSHEA, FTC labeling requirements and regulatory considerations for dietary supplements and personal care products.
• Ability to translate concepts into scalable formulations and manufacturing processes; lead cross‑functional execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre‑formulation, formulation, reformulation, optimization, and commercialization of new and existing products.
• Guide cross‑functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Regulatory throughout development.
• Ensure products meet quality, efficacy, stability, manufacturability, regulatory, and cost targets.
• Oversee cost management, raw materials qualification, and supplier capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement and post‑launch optimization across the portfolio.
