Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Saint Joseph, MI, is seeking a Product Development Senior Analyst for our onsite Saint Joseph (Edgewater Technology Center) facility. You will translate requirements into design criteria, develop and verify subsystem designs, and own the engineering release including CAD, drawings, and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years of product development experience.
• Strong ability to analyze mechanical, electrical and thermal systems.
• Demonstrated project management skills and Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate product level requirements into subsystem/module design criteria.
• Develop and verify design for subsystems, modules, components on schedule and cost targets.
• Own engineering release of subsystem design including CAD, drawings and BOMs.
• Lead design tradeoffs among cost, aesthetics, performance, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate prototype build plans and laboratory testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Marketing, Service).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Prepare engineering change documentation and drive TDPreviews when needed.
