Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of experiences spanning digital and physical worlds in fulfillment center environments. You will define exceptional UX across screen interfaces, light/sound cues, and spatial workflows, guiding workers through safe, efficient, and low-friction interactions.

You will conduct field research on the warehouse floor, prototype solutions, and collaborate with software, hardware, product management, and industrial design teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience
• Have an available online portfolio
• 5+ years of hands-on work with field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design experience
• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers
• Experience leading design, build and deployment of complex, scalable software solutions in production
• Experience leading architecture and design of new/current systems or recent development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction or UX Design, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent)
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and defining UX strategy in innovation problem spaces
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design across digital interfaces and physical touchpoints
• Proficiency in modern design and supporting AI tools (Figma, Figma-Make, Kiro, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Design across the digital-physical spectrum for workstation interfaces and physical affordances
• Define interaction models for safety, efficiency, accuracy, and comfort across a diverse workforce
• Design accessible workflows with multi-sensory feedback
• Create scalable design patterns to multiply team impact
• Map end-to-end service journeys considering ergonomics and transitions between digital and physical tasks
• Lead UX research with field-based context and observations
• Collaborate with hardware/software/product/industrial design and operations to ensure coherence
• Mentor junior designers and elevate UX maturity
• Advocate for field-grounded insights in roadmap discussions
• Synthesize quantitative data with qualitative field insights to guide priorities
• Produce artifacts influencing roadmaps and leadership decisions
