Job summary

Newmark is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead UX work, strengthen design system capabilities, and partner across teams in a user-centered product environment.

You will conduct user research, design flows, wireframes, and prototypes, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with product managers and developers to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility, while staying current with UX trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in UX design, including a track record of leading complex design projects.
• Expertise in Figma for high-fidelity design, prototyping, and design handoff.
• Portfolio showing user-centric design principles and a range of successful projects.
• Experience with design systems, including contributing to development and maintenance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team environments.
• Analytical mindset with experience using user research and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative, innovative approach to design challenges.

Responsibilities

• Run comprehensive user research and discovery to uncover pain points and identify opportunities to improve user and customer workflows and outcomes.
• Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to visualize and communicate product concepts.
• Lead concept development and prototyping sessions with cross-functional partners to collect feedback and refine designs.
• Use usability testing to validate designs and iterate based on user feedback to support intuitive, engaging experiences.
• Leverage and help grow the design system by contributing to its evolution and maintaining consistency across Newmark platforms.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility.
• Stay current on UX industry trends and best practices, incorporating new techniques and technologies into the design process.
• Mentor and guide junior designers to support continuous learning and improvement within the team.
