Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead experiences spanning digital and physical worlds, from screen interfaces to physical touchpoints within fulfillment centers.

You will define UX for safety, efficiency, and comfort, guiding a diverse workforce through complete workflow interactions with minimal friction. A strong portfolio and field-research expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience.
• Have an available online portfolio.
• 5+ years of hands-on work with field research, ethnography, and usability testing.
• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers.
• Experience leading design and deployment of complex software in production.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Interaction or UX Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and defining UX strategy in innovation spaces.
• Strong portfolio across digital interfaces and physical touchpoints.
• Proficiency in modern design and supporting AI tools (Figma, Figma-Make, Kiro, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design across the digital-physical spectrum including workstation interfaces and physical affordances.
• Define interaction models for safety, efficiency, accuracy, and comfort for a diverse workforce.
• Design accessible workflows considering visual, auditory, and haptic feedback.
• Create scalable design patterns that multiply team impact across robotics programs.
• Map end-to-end service journeys considering body posture and workstation ergonomics.
• Lead UX research with field partners through contextual inquiry on the warehouse floor.
• Collaborate with hardware/software, product, industrial design, and operations teams.
• Mentor junior designers and elevate UX maturity across the organization.
• Synthesize operational data with field insights to inform priorities and trade-offs.
