Amazon is seeking a Principal UX Designer to shape the future of industrial technology. You will design intuitive digital experiences that bridge advanced technology with human needs, enabling customers to work effectively in technology-enhanced environments.

You will create interfaces for control dashboards, monitoring systems, and operations tools that balance safety and efficiency while shipping production-ready designs for an industrial audience in Massachusetts and beyond.

Qualifications

Experience conducting usability testing to inform design decisions.
Proficient with prototyping tools like Figma and Adobe CC.
13+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience.
Strong portfolio demonstrating complex system design and scalable interfaces.
Proven track record of shipping production-ready designs.

Responsibilities

Define UX in a first-to-market product within a highly ambiguous environment.
Set vision and build intuitive interfaces for industrial technology applications.
Create user flows and interaction patterns that simplify complex operations.
Develop and maintain scalable design systems.
Partner with researchers to lead user studies with operators and field personnel.
Build and test prototypes for diverse use cases.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams.
Ensure consistency across services and interfaces.
Document and communicate design decisions effectively.
