Job summary

Order.co is seeking a Senior Product Designer specializing in Design Systems to scale the design system across our platform and explore AI-driven workflows. You will partner with Product Design, Engineering, and Product Management to modernize legacy experiences, develop reusable patterns, and improve discovery, adoption, and contribution to the system.

The role requires 4–7 years of design experience with a focus on design systems, strong Figma skills, and the ability to translate design

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of product design experience, including significant design system experience.
• Proven experience building, scaling, or evolving a design system.
• Strong expertise in component-based design and reusable interaction patterns.
• Advanced Figma skills and familiarity with modern design system workflows.
• Strong understanding of how design systems translate into production code.
• Experience partnering closely with engineers and navigating tradeoffs between flexibility, consistency, and scalability.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and curiosity about their application to design systems.
• Excellent visual, interaction, communication, and systems-thinking skills.
• Curiosity about AI and its impact on product design and design systems, with hands-on experience using AI tools.
• Fintech and/or ecommerce experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scale and evolve the design system with a focus on high-traffic legacy experiences.
• Audit existing experiences to identify component gaps and opportunities for consolidation.
• Partner with engineers to create scalable, accessible, and production-ready components.
• Champion usability, accessibility, consistency, and quality across the product.
• Establish and communicate design system principles and decisions across the organization.
• Explore AI-enabled workflows for component discovery, documentation, quality checks, and pattern generation.
• Reduce duplication and improve efficiency across design and engineering.
• Measure and improve system adoption, usability, and effectiveness.
