Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a senior product designer for AWS Billing to lead end-to-end product thinking across conversational, agent-driven, and console interfaces.

You will frame problems, define how AI agents act on customers’ behalf, design trust patterns, and mentor other designers while partnering with data science, legal, and policy to address financial/compliance challenges. This is an on-site role with significant impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience with end-to-end product thinking across desktop and mobile.
• Online portfolio or resume samples showing strong user-centered design solutions.
• Experience using AI tools in design workflow, including AI-assisted prototyping or research synthesis.
• Experience designing complex, data-dense workflows and information architecture.

Responsibilities

• Frame ambiguous problems and drive clarity across requirements, customers, and feasibility.
• Define how AI agents act on customers’ behalf and determine when humans approve actions.
• Design trust patterns showing agent confidence, reasoning, and attribution.
• Create human-in-the-loop, approval, and undo patterns for money-related actions.
• Lead end-to-end experiences across conversational, agent-driven, and console interfaces.
• Mentor designers and establish reusable patterns and standards for the team.
• Write narratives and strategy docs and present to senior leadership.
